Shirley Maxine Hall Wright, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on February 22, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on April 16, 1941, in Johnson County, Texas, she dedicated much of her life to her family and her role as an administrative assistant for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Shirley was a woman of deep faith, finding joy in her daily practice of reading her Bible and nurturing her relationship with God. Her spirituality was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the years as she instilled the values of love, kindness, and knowledge in those around her. Shirley's thirst for learning was a defining trait, as she spent many years growing in wisdom and understanding, which she generously shared with her family.

Her role as "Memaw" brought her immense joy; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, relishing the memories created and the bonds formed through family gatherings and shared experiences.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Belinda Keel and husband David; her son, Douglas Wright and wife Beverly; her grandchildren: Josh McKinney and wife Erica, Krystal Payne and husband Adam, Jay Wright and wife Misa, Justin McKinney, Kenneth Wright and wife Savannah, Michael Bubp and wife Aubrie, Jasmine Perez and husband Pedro, Sydney Olojo and husband Shola, Jordan Wright, Tyler Wright, Zachary Wright, Karman Wright, and Kamron Wright; as well as her brothers, Ben Hall and wife Linda, Waymon Hall, Joe Hall and wife Margaret, James Hall, and Ernie Hall and Anette. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Lenord Theodore Hall; her mother, Ima Victoria Hall; her brother and wife, Charles Hall and wife Gladys; and her son, James Thurston Wright and wife LeAnn, sisters-in-law, Betty Lou Hall and Judy Hall.

As we remember Shirley Maxine Hall Wright, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit, her unwavering commitment to her family, and the love she imparted to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
