Shirley Houle Obituary

September 20, 1934- June 9, 2025
Shirley passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Born in Blytheville, AR she married the love of her life, Francis (Frank) Houle, Sr. in April 1953, just a few short weeks before she graduated from high school. They were married 64 years.
Shirley retired from Clay County Board of Transportation after 26 years of driving a school bus and was the first driver to take special needs children from all over Clay County to Duval County for classes due to Clay schools not having these classes at that time.
Shirley was a Girl Scout Leader when her girls were young and then enjoyed serving her community as an Ambassador with the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and the Orange Park Lions Club and Lionella's for many years. She was also a past member of Toastmasters Intl.
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank and leaves behind
four children, Barbara Houle Reyna, Betty Houle, Joe Houle (Cheryl) and Karen Houle Rosepiler (John). Five grandchildren, Kristen Rosepiler Romano (Mark) Jacob Rosepiler, Robert Reyna (Melanie) Lindsy Houle Schorck (Chris), Aaron Houle. Eight great grandchildren. She was also blessed with 3 bonus grandsons, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Shirley was such a wonderful neighbor. We enjoyed living across from her and Mr. Frank. Know that your momma is with her love and out of pain. She will be missed.
