Susan Jane Edwards Stringer passed away after a short illness on May 23, 2025.
She leaves behind her three children, and their respective partners. Kelli Wanyo and
Steven Wanyo of New Hampshire, Robert Price and Juan Polanco of Salinas, CA,
and Shannon Caruso, and Chris Caruso of Beverly, MA. In addition, four
grandchildren, Adam Wanyo, Adrianna Merry, Caeden Hale, Maximilian Polanco-
Price, plus five great-grandchildren. Born in Woodstock Vt, 1946 Susan grew up
in a family of six kids, the daughter of Harlan and Rita Edwards. She was very fond
of animals, spending many years living on an 18th century working farm in the
heart of New England, where she enjoyed working and caring for an assortment of
animals. Prior to her retirement she was the office manager of Beckingham
Chiropractic for 20 plus years. Susan shared her love for nature with her children
and grandchildren, taking trips to God's Country, seeking out new trails or bubbling
creeks in the woods. Her lifelong passion for many of North America's Native
American cultures are represented in her collection of books, and art. She was a
good friend to many and over the years maintained a special bond with her first
husband Robert Price, Sr. the father of her three children. The family wishes to
convey their heartfelt thanks, and appreciation for the kind and professional staff at
the Katherine, who made her feel comfortable, and cared for during her final days.
A special recognition, and appreciation to the entire hospice team. Your selfless
mission to provide care, while maintaining dignity, comfort and support for the
patient and family is extraordinary. For which we will be forever grateful. In lieu of
flowers please consider a donation to the SPCA Monterey County.
