She was born January 22, 1948 in Amonate, Virginia to the late Clyde William and Evelyn Winifred (Hardy) Sparks. Thelma grew up in Amonate and graduated from Tazewell High School. She married Eddie A. Roberts on January 29, 1972 in Valley City, Ohio. Thelma had worked as a housekeeper at Broadview Multicare and later at Western Reserve Masonic Community, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, puzzle books, and spending time with family.
In addition to her husband Eddie, she is survived by her children, James (Sherry) Roberts, Eddie Lee Roberts, and Amanda Mae Roberts; grandchildren, Frank (Courtney) Roberts, Dylan Roberts, Maddy Mae Roberts, James Mellott and Corey Mellott; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Preston (aka Bubba), and Little Dave; closest friends, James Haight, and Jesse (Maria) Holland; canine companions, Bella, Buddy, Smalls and Sparky. Thelma was preceded in death by 4 sisters, 3 brothers and close friend, Merle Rogers.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.

I've met you a couple of times and I'm very close friends with your daughter Amanda and when I found out the passing of you it really hit hard to me you were family I used to smile around you and your daughter and your granddaughter you have an amazing family and I hope you're up and having with those puzzle books and I will be praying for your family
