Tim Walker, a gifted artist and beloved family man, died unexpectedly on July 4, 2025, during the devastating floods in Texas.

Born Roy T. Walker IV on St. Patrick's Day in Austin, Texas, Tim was a lifelong builder, dreamer, and creator. As a self-taught neon artist, he turned a childhood fascination with light, electricity, and design into a brilliant career. On his 21st birthday, he founded The Neon Gallery in Houston, Texas-a custom studio known for its handcrafted neon and imaginative spirit. For over four decades, Tim worked side by side with his wife and creative partner Suzette, bringing color, joy, and light to clients and friends.

Best known as "Grandude" to his beloved grandson, Tim was a patient man who could fix anything, a motocross rider with a generous spirit, a traveler, and a true adventurer at heart.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Suzette Walker; his daughter Bronwyn Walker; his son Stewart Walker; and his grandson Walker Beauchamp. He is also survived by his sisters Chula Sanchez and Gayle DeGeurin; his aunts Jeanne Stewart Adams and Priscilla Walker; and many extended family members and a wide circle of friends who felt like family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annette Stewart Dessart and Roy T. Walker III, and his brother, Robert Page Ross.

A memorial service will be held on August 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity of Houston, 2929 Unity Dr, Houston, TX 77057, with a reception to follow at the church. Please feel free to dress casually-Tim never liked dressing up.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to honor his life, please consider a gift to the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department (www.hunt.vfd.org/donate), the Hill Country Arts Foundation (www.hcaf.com), the Hunt United Methodist Church (www.huntumc.org), or Gear Up for Game Wardens (www.gearupforgamewardens.org).
