Timothy DeWayne Walker, 80, passed away on August 7, 2025, on his land in Kempner, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1944, in Lampasas, Texas, to Clarence W. Walker and Modie Estelle Trousdale Walker.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11 am with visitation an hour prior.
Tim grew up in Lampasas, Texas. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1963. After school, he attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where he received his associate's and bachelor's degrees in agriculture. Tim married Carolyn Sue Brandt in 1969 in Coleman, Texas. They were happily married for 56 years. Tim participated in local rodeos where he rode bareback. He enjoyed going dancing with Sue at Mingus in Mineral Wells and catching bullfrogs in the Bosque River, and having chicken-fried steak at Jack and Dorothy's. He often worked hard with welding in order to be able to afford tuition.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Estelle, his sister, Vivan Walker, and his daughter, Amy Walker.
Tim is survived by his spouse, Sue Walker of Kempner, Texas; his son, Shannon Walker and wife Rilla of Richmond, Texas; daughter, Angela Marez and husband Alejandro Marez, Jr of Kempner, Texas; his grandchildren, Alisha Walker and husband Andrew Gilbert of Kempner, Texas, Waylon Bartholomew, Sr of Richmond, Texas, Hanna Bartholomew of Houston, Texas, Bryton Walker of Kempner, Texas, Ajay and Ace Marez of Kempner, Texas, Waylon Bartholomew, Jr of Richmond, Texas, Alexander Bartholomew of Richmond, Texas and his great-granddaughter, Blair Gilbert of Kempner, Texas.
