Memorial Service for Tom Cook will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at First Christian Church in Brownfield, with Rev. Josh Puckett officiating.

Tom was born on November 13, 1937, to Raymond and Lorene Killion Cook in Neodesha, KS. He passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 87.

After graduating from high school in Kansas, Tom pursued further education at Independence Junior College, laying the foundation for a career marked by service and dedication. On May 3, 1968, he married Wanda Hadaway, in Wellman, TX. Together, they built a warm and loving home that became a sanctuary for family and friends.

Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of duty and honor. After his military service, he became a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1997. Tom was a member of First Christian Church in Brownfield, TX.

Tom is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Cook; grandson, Max Campbell; and parents, Raymond and Lorene Cook. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cook; daughters, Angela Hicks and husband Monte of Amarillo and Norann Hensley of Paola, KS; son, Rumsey Cook and wife Colleen of Desoto, KS; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for the loving care they provided Tom. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite Veterans charity in his memory.
