Wesley Harden Turner, 47, of Wade passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his residence with his mother by his side.
Wesley was born on March 3, 1977, in Cumberland County. He was a 1998 graduate of E. E. Smith High School.
Wesley loved fried chicken, popcorn, the color orange, and listening to music. He was the happiest when he could go "bye bye" with his support worker and especially with his mother who was his best friend and constant caregiver.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven A. Turner; his brother, Dustin Turner; maternal grandfather, Carlos Leal; paternal grandparents, Bill Turner and Jeanette Oliver Turner; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends he dearly loved.
Wesley is survived by his mother, Sandra Turner; brother, Steven C. Turner and wife Sara; and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Hill Leal.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 1 to 1:50 pm at Bluff Presbyterian Church in Wade. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm in the church. Burial will follow at the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluff Presbyterian Church, 4023 Church St. Wade, N.C. 28395
