William “Bill” Paul Hensley, age 76, of Lake Township, was taken into God’s hands on January 17, 2025. He was born October 1, 1948 to the late William Doyle Hensley and Pauline Jean Hensley (Harris).
Bill attended Revere High School, The University of Akron, and retired in 2020 from Goodyear Aerospace/Meggitt Aircraft Breaking Systems after 41 years of service. Bill enjoyed many activities throughout his life and fondly regarded bowling, softball, boating, and his beloved Corvette. Most recently, Bill bowled two leagues at Spins Bowl Akron with several lifelong friends; Rick Kendall, Bob Ringeis, Rodney Rowell, and Ray Daily.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Hensley and Pauline J. Hensley (Harris); brother, Larry Allen Hensley (Sandra); and the love of his life, his wife, Diane M. Hensley. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie (John) Shelton; sister, Linda Shoemaker (Richard); and Grand Kitty, Brady Boy.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 2-4:00 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home in Uniontown (3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685). A service will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with an hour of calling prior. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
