William Edmund Sanders (Wild Bill) 83, of Pearland, TX went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025. Bill was born in Beaumont, Texas on January 3, 1942, to Raymond Harold and Ida Margaret Sanders.
Bill is survived by his daughter Sherri Bolton; grandchildren Shauna Gattis, Jamie Lee (Casey Johnston), and James Garman; nieces Liz Lacy (Corey Turrentine) and Lynda Sanders; nephew Boone Lacy (Adriana Teodoru); sisters-in-law Nina Sanders and Linda Sanders; eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Margaret Sanders; sister Sylvia M. Lacy; brothers Harold Sanders, Waymond "Butch" Sanders, and Raymond "Little Boy" Sanders; sisters-in-law Lana Sanders and Pat Sanders; nieces Mary Paulson and Maggie Sanders.
A beloved father, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor, Wild Bill leaves behind a legacy of laughter, music, and unforgettable tales. Born with an adventurous spirit and an infectious grin, he carved out a life as colorful and uncontainable as his nickname. Bill spent most of his working years as a mud engineer, a career that took him from the oilfields of Nigeria to the misty highlands of Scotland.
Wild Bill was a character in the truest sense of the word. He had a story for every occasion, a joke for every crowd, and a harmonica in his jacket pocket just in case the moment called for music. Whether he was holding court at his local watering hole or swapping tales around his neighbor's fire pit, Bill's mischievous laugh and twinkling eyes could lift the spirit of anyone lucky enough to be nearby.
With his unique sense of humor and an unquenchable zest for life, Wild Bill leaves behind a world a little quieter, a little less musical, and a lot less fun. But he also leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will echo in our stories, our songs, and our hearts for years to come.
Rest easy, Wild Bill. The campfire's still burning, the harmonica's still playing, and your tales will never be forgotten.
