Willie Badillo Benitez III, aged 73, passed away on April 27, 2025. Born on March 23, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Juanita and Willie Badillo Benitez II. Willie was a proud graduate of the Tahoka High School class of 1970, and he continued his education at Texas Tech University, where he earned his degree.
Willie's dedication to service was evident during his time in the United States Army, where he was stationed at Ft. Bragg and completed a tour in Korea. Following his military service, he found a fulfilling career as an engineer at Texas Instruments.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Perry Benitez, Yolanda Benitez, and Sylvia Riojas. Willie is remembered fondly by his wife, Lisa, and his children: Michael Benitez, Martin Benitez and wife Jessica, and Briana Benitez. He leaves behind two cherished granddaughters, Izelle and Aaralin Benitez, in addition to many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to honor Willie's life at a graveside service held at Nevels Cemetery in Tahoka on May 10, 2025, at 11 AM. His legacy of love and dedication to those around him will always be remembered.
