Paul Glinski Obituary

Paul Owen Glinski

January 4, 1942 - June 11, 2025

Paul Owen Glinski, 83, of Avon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on January 4, 1942, at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana, Paul was the beloved son of the late Stanley Anthony Glinski and Vera Grace (Rosenbaum) Glinski.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Linda Hanson; his brother, Stanley Jon Glinski; his first wife, Carole Lynn Kroner; and his son, David Allen Glinski. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Ann (Morris) Glinski; his loving daughter, Ann Louise Hurni (David); his stepdaughter, Tracy Bassett (Thomas); and his cherished granddaughter, Michele Crouch (Charleston), whom all brought him great joy.

A graduate of Liberty Township High School in 1960, Paul went on to proudly earn a B.S. in Business and Marketing from Valparaiso University in 1969 and later an M.S. in Administrative Management from Indiana University Northwest in 1979.

Paul dedicated over 32 years of his professional life to McGill Manufacturing in Valparaiso, where he held numerous roles in manufacturing engineering while finishing his career as the quality assurance director. His work culminated into being granted a patent on August 24, 1993, for a developing a method of making a bearing assembly. Paul took significant pride in his work at McGill's and held onto many personal relationships he made throughout his time there.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Paul was committed to his community. He held leadership roles in the Boy Scouts of America and was an active member of the Valparaiso Lions Club. He found immense joy in fishing, tackling all sorts of construction and carpentry projects, and tending to his garden of tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and onions.

Paul also had a deep and abiding love for foodwhether it was savoring a home-cooked meal, digging into a pizza from his family's shop, or putting on a fish fry with friends. His appreciation for good food was matched only by the lively conversations at the table.

Paul will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his generous spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the values he instilled.
