Joe Harvey Obituary


Joe Paul Harvey, 65, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, in High Springs, Florida. A native of Green Cove Springs, FL, Joe had resided in High Springs since 2013. He had worked much of his life as a farmer in the agricultural industry and was of the Baptist faith.
He could fix anything and was always willing to help others. He loved animals, and in his earlier years, enjoyed archery, and deer hunting, fishing in the Gulf and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon Andrew and Ruth Parks Harvey; infant brother, Bobby Gene Harvey; and brothers, Jerry Lee Harvey Sr. and Andrew Lamar Harvey.
Surviving are his son, Joe Paul Harvey Jr. of Illinois; daughter, Karen  Barrera of Hinckley, IL; sisters, Ruth Harvey Hooper of Tyler, TX, Sally Ann Carver of Lake City, FL, and Shirley Mae Tharp (Newt) of Jasper, FL; brothers, Jimmy Don Harvey (Shirlene) of High Springs, FL, John Daniel Harvey of Wellborne, FL, Roy Malcolm Harvey of Palatka, FL, and Tony William Harvey (Pam) of San Mateo, FL; grandchildren, Katherine Soberanes, Brendan Barrera, and Aidan Barrera; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Curtis R. Hall officiating. Inurnment will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be shared on Joe's online register at: themastersfuneralhome.com.
