Ernest E. Gallardo was born in Victoria, Texas on January 19, 1940, and passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Ernest was a proud graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and retired from Kelly Field Civil Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, golf; he simply enjoyed any outdoor activity. Ernest loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank C. and Eusebia Gallardo, sons Andrew Gallardo and Michael Rene Gallardo, brother Frank E. Gallardo, sisters Elvia Hall, Minerva G. Aguilar, and Sandra G. De la Cruz. "Neto" is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Antonia "Tonia" Gallardo, children Gabriel J. Gallardo, Eduardo O. Cen, his wife, Lynnette, and Claudia O. Cen, grandchildren Joseph, Gabrielle, Emiliano and Armando, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Heights Mortuary. Services will conclude at Palm Heights Mortuary. The biggest memory I have of Uncle Ernest is his big fishing trips and bringing back so many fish, Aunt Tonia would cook up a fish fry for the familia. Such fond memories getting together with everyone. Additionally, Uncle Ernest called me every year on my birthday, without fail. This year, he will be laid to rest on my birthday. Sending love, positive vibes and prayers to Tía and my cousins
