Salle was a long time member of our WRITEAWAY WRITERS group in Santa Monica. She inspired us all with her thoughtful reactions to our stories. Salle kept us at the edge of our seats with her pricise inciteful writings regarding the inhuman treatment of prisoners and her tales about her mother and her interactions with her brother. We loved her smiles, her encouragement, her laughter.
She was missed when she moved away and she will be forever missed. Salle is a persona that leaves a lasting impression and will always be remembered as long as our group lasts.
My condolences to her family of whom she often spoke with glowing pride.

Salle was an active and beloved member of our Write Away writer's group that met every week in Santa Monica. I admired her commitment to advocate on behalf of prisoners and of the elderly that she so eloquently wrote about and shared at many of our meetings.
Our memories of Salle will be sweet, and our sadness deep that she is no longer with us on earth.

Cousin Sulwa, from an early age showed me how imperfect our country has always been. A powerful woman that comes from a history of strong independent women. She has been a quiet however strong influence on my life.
Will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Salle Soladay's passing. I wish I had known more about her pioneering adventures and would love to have talked with her about them. I am glad that her grandsons were able to spend extended time with her so that they could appreciate her strong spirit and share that strength with her. My deepest condolences to you all.

I did not know you, except through your daughter and son-in-law, David. But, my heart tells me I would have enjoyed doing so! May peace and comfort be with you and your family.

Salle, (whom I knew as Sitto), was a most loving, kind, and accepting woman. She always greeted me and my son, who has severe special needs, with a warm smile and loving embrace. I will miss her curiosity, humor, and huge heart. May she rest in peace. With love, Elaine, Jeff and Neal
