Kathryn A. Evans, 61, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 with her family by her side. Kathy enjoyed 38 successful years in the banking business at several local banks.
She is predeceased by her parents, Nancy (Vaughn) J. Moore and Earl E. Moore Jr.; and a sister, Kristin R. Moore.
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Dean P. Evans; sons, Jordan A. Evans and Marc A. Evans; a sister, Debra S. (Frank Hall) Franz and Cheryl C. (Jim) Brenneis; brother in law, Dale C. (Sharon) Evans; mother in law, Patricia A. Miller; and a very special aunt, Roberta McMahon and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy loved to read and watch SU football and basketball with her sons. Her vacations of choice were typically held at a racing venue or at one of the casino pools on the Las Vegas strip.
Calling Hours will be Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4-8PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205. Services will be Tuesday, 10AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
