Kenneth Brown Obituary

Kenneth Clyde Brown, 87, of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home. The son of Bernon Crosby Brown Sr. and Evelyn (King) Brown, he was born on Feb. 7, 1938, in Bridgeport, PA (Westmoreland County). Mr. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for Allegheny Power until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Borough Planning and Borough Police Committees, and coached Little League from 1981 to 1987, all in Blairsville. Mr. Brown loved to paint. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Ann Anderson of Delmont; his son, Brian K. Brown of Blairsville; his grandson, Dalton Anderson (Emily); and his sister, Linda Neal of Blairsville. He was preceded in death by his father in 1975; his mother in 2005; his sister, Beverly Bourke; and his brother, Vernon Brown. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the SHOEMAKER FUNERAL HOME INC., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the funeral home, with Pastor John Manon officiating. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery, Acme, PA.
