Richard Kent Smith Jr., of Youngwood, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, with family by his side. Rick was born on Sept. 20, 1955, in Mt. Pleasant, to the late Richard K. Smith Sr. and Roberta (Moore) Smith. Rick is survived by two sons, Preston Smith (Jamie) and Justin Smith (Jodi). He is also survived by three grandchildren, a sister and brother, two nieces, a nephew, and several great-nieces/nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Heather Smith. Arrangements are under the care of the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 East Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 (724)-547-3800. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025.
