Warren Davenport Obituary
Warren Edward Davenport January 20, 1929 – April 2, 2025 Warren also known by family as Putso, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025. He died from natural causes that were exacerbated by the flu and pneumonia. He lived a full life until 96 years old and was proud that he lived independently at his assisted living facility, The Pinnacle, in Plymouth Meeting, PA over the last 4years. He was a strong Philadelphian that was born in Northeast Philly and raised his family in Fox Chase. He later retired to his happy place, the Jersey Shore. He loved the Brigantine, NJ lifestyle, where he built a home and lived by the water for more than 25 years. He was a big sports fan for his entire life. He would talk endlessly about his team, the "Philadelphia Eagles" and everyone knew he had the TV turned up loud and was rooting for them up to their Superbowl win. He loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was quick to share a story or tell a joke. He always had a twinkle in his eyes because he loved life. Few people wake up singing songs like him. He loved a good cup of coffee and became a connoisseur of it, rarely turning down a cup. He was a proud American who served in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He followed in his father's footsteps and became a Plumber. He worked for 40 years for the Plumbers Union 690 in Philadelphia which was a brotherhood for him. Warren's only marriage was to the love of his life, Betsy Davenport (1928-2021) He is survived by his sister which he truly adored, Arlene DeFao of Hatboro, PA, and preceded by his sister Doris Donofrio who will be greeting him in heaven. He is also survived by his two devoted daughters who helped care for him, Lisa Hopkins and husband Jim Hopkins of Warminster, PA and Andrea Davenport and husband Ken Fay of Westwood, MA. He had 4 grandchildren that he loved dearly and spoke about often, Ashely Hopkins and husband Will Fenstermaker, Taylor Hopkins, Kailey and husband Rich Mychack and Nolan Hopkins. He will forever be in our hearts and missed very much everyday. His family wishes to extend a special thanks to the dedicated staff at the Pinnacle and Vitality Hospice for caring for him in his final days.
