Ronnie was born April 28, 1946, in South Bend, IN to Evelyn Morrow. He was preceded in death by his mother, and step-father, Richard Beck; and son, Terry Morrow, as well as daughter, Wendy Walker, grandson, Isaiah Brown, and sister, Victoria Nijak.
He was married to Rosanne Roy on July 11, 1987, at Fall Creek, IL. She survives. Other survivors include his four children, Kim Juette, Nick Morrow, Devon Morrow, and Samantha Walker; two brothers, Richard Beck (Connie) and Mark Beck; sister, Mary Minder; five grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
A veteran of the United States Army, Ronnie served his country with honor from 1963 to 1966, stationed in Germany as a Senior Radar Operator. It was there that he earned his GED; but later graduated from John Wood Community College with a degree in electronics.
He retired from the General Mills Plant in Hannibal, where he worked setting up the soup line for several years. He had also worked maintenance at Display Center, in Hannibal, and formerly as a deck hand in northern Illinois.
A voracious reader, Ronnie spent many of his younger days at the library in South Bend accumulating a vast store house of knowledge. He enjoyed sci-fi, playing chess, shooting pool, and bragging about his '65 Chevy Impala SS. Computer games, watching Redditt and British mystery series predominated later. In more recent years, Ronnie and Rosanne were active in the Society for Creative Anachronism (a medieval reenactment group), where Ronnie was known for his archery skills, twice managing, The Robin Hood shot by splitting one arrow with another. It was during this time they became involved with greyhound rescue, caring for 15 dogs at different times over the years.
Ronnie loved his ice cream (and coffee, fried chicken, and Chinese food) and it was over a bowl of ice cream that he and Rosanne met at a dance at the Alano Club in Quincy, IL. "Slow Hand" by Conway Twitty was Ronnie and Rosanne's song. He has always been her "rock" and "calm during the storm." He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
