I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Betty's untimely death. Her visit to my dad the summer before last meant so much to him and I count myself very fortunate to have been able to spend time with the three sisters and Dad while they were here. What a treat Aunt Betty was...her sweet nature reminded me so much of Grandma Kuhn, and it was a lot of fun listening to the three sisters' conversations about growing up on the farm and other great memories. I know that she will be sorely missed by her family and community. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kathy Kuhn-Malpass (Bill's middle daughter!)

Betty, you were the "rock" in our neighborhood. You were such an integral part of everyday life on Norton Avenue. I don't think a day went by where I hadn't seen you walking or working in the yard, or chatting with any one of us. I will personally miss you and I know that this earth is a little less perfect without you here.

I had the pleasure of working with Betty at the VNA for many, many years. I was a visiting nurse and we took care of many patients together. Betty was caring, compassionate, and hard working. She took on any case and due to her hard work and compassion she played a major role in assisting many chronically ill patients to remain in their own homes and also assisted many to recover at home from their illnesses or surgeries. I became the home health aide supervisor and had the pleasure of continuing to work with Betty for many more years, until she retired. She was a vital part of our staff and gave so much to so many!! It was my pleasure to have known her and to have had the good fortune to see what she meant to so many of her patients!! A wonderful caregiver, a wonderful person, and I am sure a wonderful mother!! God bless!!

Betty was a neighbor during my early years on Norton Avenue. One of the remaining neighbors to still be in the same house over these many years. God bless you Betty and you too Lloyd. The passing of a fine lady and era gone by.

Betty was my across the street neighbor on Norton Ave for eleven years. She was a very accomplished woman. We both worked in Health Care and often shared our laughs and a few cries together. I will always here her "hi Goldie" as she flew by on her tractor keeping her perfect lawn in shape. What a loss to her family and to every person she knew. God Speed Betty.

Love,

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Betty Brown was my Aunt. I always enjoyed hearing of her travels and her point of view on many a subject. I'll miss being able to have a conversation with her looking at our beautiful lake in Vermont.
