Edith Jones Obituary

JONES, EDITH SOMERS TAYLOR, 79, Louisville, died Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Treyton Oak Towers. Mrs. Jones attended Louisville Collegiate & Kentucky Home schools, Briarcliff College and was graduated from University of Cincinnati School of Music. She was a member of Woman's Club of Louisville, Monday Afternoon Club and a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Somers and E. Leland Taylor, former Mayor of Louisville, and one son, Andrew Nitch-Smith. Survivors include her husband, Hunt B. Jones, M.D., one daughter, Edith Lowe, and grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Caterina Nitch-Smith who reside on Isle of Guernsey, and Amelia, Sophie and Hector Lowe. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pearson's is in charge of arrangements. Memorial gifts may be made to Nature Conservancy of Kentucky, 642 W. Main St. Lexington, KY 40506, or Home of the Innocents.

Dear Dr Jones and Family, I am so sorry to hear the sad news of Edith. I hope that you remember me. I was a Security Guard there at TOT's I have missed seeing you both. All my love Thank you for all of the kindness you showed me after my house fire. God Bless all of you.
