My dearest loved one, here on earth,

I saw a tear fall down your face.

You didn’t see me standing there,

Nor could you feel my soft embrace.

But I was standing next to you,

I know you looked around.

You seemed to wonder what it was

You thought you heard a sound.

Yes my love, it was I,

Who came to check on you.

I saw a tear fall from your eye,

I knew you were feeling blue.

Even though you cannot see me.

Please know that I am near

I am now an angel from above

To brush away your tear.

I know each day you think of me

And many times shed a tear.

But please just close your eyes

And know that I am near.

As I have told you often,

Do not be afraid to cry.

It does relieve the pain

Knowing we had to say goodbye.

One thing is for certain,

Even though life on earth is o’er

I’m still closer to you now

Than ever I was before.

I know you still don’t understand

Why I had to leave this earth

God doesn’t have any secrets;

It’s just all planned from our birth.

Someday when you have joined me

And meet God at His Throne,

It’s then you will understand
The questions that have been unknown.

What wonderful words have been written and all so true. Dr B has been a part of my entire nursing career. He taught me so much and was always an inspiration. No one can compare. May God bless and be with each of you.

I had great respect for Dr. Beavers. I knew him through MVM however he also treated my 2 year old son once at Stokes-Reynolds. I can't tell you how happy I was to see Dr. Beavers at that clinic. My son was very sick with strep and Dr. Beavers was so good to him. It breaks my heart to know he is gone. He was a wonderful physician and a wonderful person.

Ashley Daniels

December 1, 2008

To Dr. Beavers family, My name is Ashley Whitaker Daniels, CMA. I used to work in the lab at MVM. I could not believe the news, and I just wanted to express my thoughts, as he was greatly admired at MVM. I only did his labs, and joked frequently about all his clocks. Which we all had fun with. He was a great man, raising wonderful children, and working as hard as he could to please his patients. He will be missed and as always he was near and dear to everyone he came into contact with. I prayed for your family at Thanksgiving, seeing that this was the first one without him. I shed a tear just thinking of how much pain you all were in and how helpless I was. I am very sorry for your loss, even though you have no idea who I am. I lost my father at 13, and understand everything that the kids went through. Just be lucky that you have each other, and that he is up in heaven smiling down on you. With deepest sympathy. Ashley Whitaker Daniels, CMA

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Beavers. He was a wonderful person and doctor. I really liked him and his abilities as a physician. You were never a number with him, you really were somebody. I never saw him but he did see my kids from time to time when Dr. McMillian wasn't available. He was the best in the medical field and he will be missed a great deal. It is good to know that he is up in heaven looking down and watching over us all. God needed another Angel and a great one at that!

To the Beavers Family: Carl Beavers was one of the finest doctor and person I have ever met. He would always listen to my complaints and try his best to take care of myself and 3 children. To the Beavers Family:
It was truly a sad day when I heard that Carl had passed away. I work at the Family Practice Center where Carl completed his residency and have known him for years. He was my mom's (Ruth Duggins) doctor up until her death two years ago. She thought the sun rose and set in him. When Carl was born they threw away the mold -- there will never be another like him. He will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this difficult time.

I am truly sorry for your loss of Dr. Beavers. I have been going to him for 15 years and I adored him as a person and a doctor. He has helped me, my husband and my mother over the years and I am so thankful to have had him as our doctor and there will never be another like him. He always listened and he always had a smile and something funny to say - he always made you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I will pray for all of you, his family, I know it is so hard to lose someone this sudden. My mother had a massive stroke 3 years ago and I found her - it is such a devastating thing to go through - but God will get you through this and just hold on to the wonderful memories of Dr. Beavers and he will always be with you. to his kids, you can be so proud to have had such a wonderful, loving, caring man for father.

To the family of Dr. Beavers: I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that God will give you comfort, that He will surround you with His love. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. What an honor and privilege it has been to have worked with Dr. Beavers at MVM. I learned so much from him, not necessarily all by his words, but also by his actions. He shined with happiness, concern for others, and love for everyone. MVM will never be the same, but we will do our best to carry on, taking care of our patients, as he would expect us to do!

May God send comfort to all those that knew Dr. Beavers. We will all miss him. I had the opportunity and privilege to work with him and see that his main concern was his patients and their well-being. He was an excellent doctor and a personal friend. To all of his family, I am praying for strength and comfort for you all. May God bless you.

November 24, 2008

Dr Beavers was truly a gift to his profession. He was the kind of Doctor most dream of and few ever have the chance of having. No matter how sick my children were they always looked forward to seeing him. He was remarkable. Finding another doctor will be quite a feat, when you have had the best already. We never know when our name comes up, when God is ready for us. He tells us to trust him, even though we might not see the big picture, he does, and he will provide. May he give his family, patients, and friends in the coming future the strength they will need to go on. May the memories of his caring, compassionate ways, his gentle smile and warm heart comfort you when you need it most. The loss of a loved one is a very difficult time for any person, but sometimes we just don't understand why we lose someone so special, and at still such a young age. I know that with God, in time, through faith and understanding, he will answer these questions. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time, look to God for strength, and comfort, for he will be with you all your days. I have been blessed to have known Dr. Beavers, he will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on. God Speed Dr. Beavers!

I too have known Dr. Beavers for many years. He has been a caring and wonderful man. He took care of myself and my children and mother. I have never known him to get mad, he always had a smile and cared about his patients. I could count on him to take care of my mother while she was in the nusring home. When I found out he passed, little did I know Wednesday would be the last time I saw his smile. Little did we know that would be the last time we saw him. I cannot express the sorrow I feel for the lost of this great man. But the Lord had other things for him now. The pain will ease but the memory will always be there of Dr. Carl Beavers a true friend and doctor. May God be with you Leigh and your family because we all know that he loved you and those children and he was so proud of you all.

To the family & staff of Dr. Beavers,

What a shock it was to us all to learn of the death of our dearly loved Dr. Beavers. I had just been in his office on Thursday for an appointment and he talked continuously of his beloved grand-daughter – And what a proud Papa he was! He was not only a wonderful doctor, he was a wonderful friend. My mom had worked for him for many years and he was exceptional to our family. Dr. Beavers took care of us during some very difficult times and spent additional hours helping us cope. There are very few doctors out there who were as compassionate as he. May God be with you all as you mourn the death of this great man. Heaven is much sweeter with him there. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mountain View Medical Staff and family of Dr. Carl Beavers:

I too am shocked and very saddened to hear of the unexpected passing of Dr. Beavers. He had been my personal physician as well as my family’s for a number of years prior to my employment here at Winston-Salem Health Care. I transitioned our care here due to the convenience of my employment, but greatly missed his personable, kind and caring spirit that he always demonstrated at visits. Although there were many times at our appointments when my children did not feel their best, he could always coax a smile out of them. They loved his character and “bed-side” manner and have spoke fondly of him throughout the years.

We also communicated frequently during my employment at Stokes County Hospice. His genuine commitment and assurance to those patients (and their families) during the most difficult of times signified is passion for his work as a physician.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the family and staff as they go through this very difficult time of sadness. He was an asset to the whole medical community, an excellent provider, and will be sorely missed.

Sincerely,

Dr. Beavers was mine and my husbands' doctor and he will greatly be missed. He was the only doctor that would take the time to listen to us. The first time seeing all of his clocks I knew this doctor had alot time for his patients. And that he had great sense of humor. May his family and the MVM family be comforted in knowing that Dr. Beavers' is now on staff with the Almighty.

My prayers go out to the family of Dr. Beavers for I know it is a great lost to all of you. The Lord will help you through this time of sorrow. You have something to be proud of for I have never met anyone like Dr. Beavers. Especially a doctor to be so caring and thoughful, he was my doctor and I counted him a great friend. He was my doctor plus my daughters and grandchildren.

Back in January he sent me for some test and he had to tell me I had cancer there were tears in his eyes and he left the room came back in and told me he had lined me up with a surgeon. This showed he cared what you went thru and since that time if I hadn't been in the office for sometime he would ask my daughter, Lisa, who worked in the office how I was doing. Thanks to Dr. Beavers for getting me in with the Doctors and treatments that I needed I am doing fine. He told me it was what he would have done for his Mother. He will always be in our hearts.

Leigh and family, Martthew 5:4 says blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. May God give you peace that passeth ALL understanding. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myselt; that where I am, there ye may be also. Heaven is God's dwelling place and now, the dwelling of Dr Beavers. Work will never be the same. He was a shining light in our office. We have lost a great family member at Mountainview Medical and my heart breaks. I cried when I heard that our beloved Dr. Beavers had died. Just Tuesday, my daughter was in his office and he played with my one year old grandson. He just loved his little mohawk and Deegan loved him as well. He always made him smile. My 15 year old son text me from school and wanted to know if it was true. The kids at West were all talking about it. He was a man that will be truely missed by everyone, both youg and old. When we moved to King, 13 years ago, Dr. Beavers became our doctor.....and I have 5 children. My twins were 2 and they just loved him. To this day we say "we are going to Dr. Beavers office". I guess we always will. He was always there and never rushed you out of his office...he always had time for you. Mountainview Medical will never be same. Nor will this community.
My love and prayers go out to his family. He is in a greater place. May god grant you peace.

For my little boy Bryson the first time I brought him in the office to see Dr. Beavers after he had learned to talk he would call him "Pa-Pa Beavers" I can see that smile now.
We Love you and you will FOREVER be in our hearts.

With our deepest sympathy, We are sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one, His memories will never be forgotten. He has been a very well known man for his laughter and his funniness. He always has brought a smile to every one's face. Being my children's family doctor, and mine. My heart goes out to the family. We will miss him very much. But, I know that everyone will go on like he wanted things to be. He had taken care of my mother before she passed away. No one could beat the way that he made her laugh. She would always tell a joke or too. Just making him laugh was just to get his day through. We will all miss him as he goes to heaven to become an angel but here with only one smile.
Only a Smile
When the time is near you will never know
That god, say's it's time to go
There will be no more sorrow, no more pain
To see the love one's who have gone away
There is just a smile
When you see heavens light shine down from above
God has called on the one that you love
To see a rainbow in the sky and the heavenly
gates that are open wide
A smile is the only thing you see
it will be the last time that you will see me
But we will meet again at heaven's gate
when god gives you your last breath that you take
So we are never here to say goodbye. But only a smile. When we see those gates open wide.
Our prayers are with you,
The Handy family...Marie, Matthew, Jacob and Austin...King

first of all nothing I can say or do can fill this void that has been brought into your life. The first time I met Dr. Beavers I was a new medic straight out of school and scared of my new job and my new medical director. After he finished with my "sit down talk" to allow me to start working for his EMS Service. He said to me "You'll do fine" that has stuck with me and his smile everytime I saw him show me that he was a good man and a great doctor. He was loved by his patients who would brag to us on the ambulance about being under his care. He will be missed both in the community and in the family of EMS that he leaves behind . Now I'm sure hes still watching over his service just from a much greater place, and one day we will meet him again and I think that will do just fine.
Thanks for everything Doc.

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest Sympathy are with the Beavers Family.

This has been a tremendous loss for all who knew and loved him. My son was one of Dr. Beavers first patients here in King more than 15 years ago shortly after he became our family physician. I will never forget Dr. Beavers wearing Mack's cowboy hat and side arms and having shoot out with a two year old. He helped us through so many trying times. I can't tell you how much we will miss him.

He Will Always Be Remembered As you share the stories and the memories of how he lived his life
and how very much he meant to so many, may you find comfort...
And, throughout this difficult time,
may you also know the deep sympathy and concern that is felt
for you and all your family.

May God Bless and Keep. With Deepest Sympathy the Edwards Family. Theresa, Chris, Mike, Nick and Mack.

I know this is very hard to understand for the family because it is oh so hard for me as a friend and patient of his to understand. Some how and for some great reason God saw fit to take him home with him to do Gods work in Heaven. I just saw him in his office on Wed. afternoon. I told him he looked great to keep up the good work and he chuckled and said I'll try! My family was so blessed to have been taken such good care of by Dr. Beaver as my daughter always says. Allison had many health problems as a small child and he always took great care of her. She is about to turn seven in a few weeks and she continues to say that she wants to be a doctor just like Dr. Beaver. She has told him that ever since she was three and used his stethescope to listen to her own heart beat. He is and was a great inspiration to all. Thanks, Dr. Beavers for taking such good care of me and my family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and many many friends.
We Love You Dr. Beavers

First to the family of Dr. Beavers, I am so very sorry for you loss. I can only imagine the heartache you have right now.

There is not much more that I can say that hasn't already been said. Dr. Beavers was an awesome man. He was wonderful at what he did and that was being a very compassionate, loving, caring and patient doctor. He had passion for his profession. It takes a special person to be a doctor but it takes an EXTRA special person to be a doctor that kept a smile on his face all the time. Yes there were them clocks. My children loved going there and looking at all the clocks. I don't think he had one that matched the time of the one next to it. Now he is on God's time. The best time of all. Dr. Beavers will truly be missed. Not just by his family, his coworkers and friends but by this community. He was such an important part of our community. Stokes county has lost a part of itself.

I will never forget seeing him and he would sit back and just listen to me like I was the only person on earth. He never rushed me in and rushed me out of the office. Even the silliest things I would say to him, he would laugh at even though someone else wouldn't. He would pat me on the knee and chuckle "we'll get ya fixed up". That was just the man he was. He made us all feel special and like we were the only patients he had.

We all mourn with Dr. Beavers family but we can smile because he is smiling right now. That smile has never left his face it has just gotten brighter and bigger.

We love Dr. Beavers and will miss him for a long time to come.

The 'Great Healer' above must have needed an assistant and if anyone deserves to be with him, it surely is Dr Beavers. I had the privalege of knowing Dr Beavers since his days at BGSM before I became a nurse. While I have known many physicians ,I can truly say he was one of the best. He always showed such compassion and concern for his patients, never rushing them even though his schedule was always packed. He made each person feel they were the most important patient he had. When my mother-in-law needed a doctor in 1998 I recommended Dr Beavers. She thought he was the greatest doctor ever. Even when she would be sick & needed to be seen, if he wasn't available, she'd not see anyone else. My husband & I also went to Dr Beavers. We are so very saddened by his passing as is anyone who knew him I'm sure. My husband Larry said he felt as though he'd not only lost his doctor but a good friend as well. Each time we'd see him he'd come in, say 'so what's going on' & pick around with Larry. Dr B would tilt his head down, look over his glasses & laugh the biggest mischeivious laugh, making you feel better no matter what. He helped us through some rough times, even calling me at home to check on us when my husband was in ICU and we didn't know if he'd make it; little things like that are what made him so special to so many. I know that the his family has a heavy heart and an ache because of his passing, but may it comfort you to know that the world was made a better place because Dr Beavers was in it; he touched so many lives in so many ways and brought comfort and happiness to everyone who was fortunate enough to be his patient. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Beavers family.

So many wonderful things said about such a great man that impacted so many lives. John 3:21 states, but whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God. Dr. Beavers was truly one of God's first responders who was placed here to be a compassionate person, friend, and physician. We cannot replace him, but we can continue his legacy that he has left here on earth. Dr. Beavers, you were truly a blessing to the people of Stokes County and surrounding counties, and we will miss you. My condolences to the family and thank you for allowing me to have the opportunity to spend time and to get to know Dr. Beavers. The days ahead will be difficult but put your faith in God and he will be there to get you through. May God bless the family and all the people Dr. Beavers blessed with his prescence.

To the family of Dr. Beavers,

What a shock it was to us all to learn of the death of our beloved Dr. Beavers. He was not only a wonderful doctor, he was a wonderful man. Dr. Beavers had taken care of my family for almost 9 years and we had come to love him dearly. He spoke fondly of his family and spoke of his love for the Tarheels. That was something we had in common. My children were always in awe of his clock collection at his office and we all looked forward to his Halloween costumes each year. Dr. Beavers took care of us during some very difficult times and spent extra hours helping us through a difficult situation. There are very few doctors out there who were as compassionate as he. I know that you are all hurting greatly now and the community of King is mourning as well. Heaven, on the other hand, is rejoicing because one of their own has come to join the Heavenly Father. May God give you the strength and peace that you need during this difficult time. My family and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

To Carl's family and his co-workers at Mountain View Medical,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all who knew and loved Dr. Beavers. I first took my daughter to see him at his office in the trailer behind J.R. Jones. We, all my family, followed him as he moved up in the community. He was a wonderful, caring doctor and his humor was comforting in times of stress. My daughter always made comments to him about ALL those clocks he collected. His TIME here on earth was spent helping people. He will be greatly missed.
