Waltham - Mr. Gerard L. Leone, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 in Bolton Manor Nursing Facility, Marlborough. He was 94. Gerard was born in Newton on July 11, 1913 a son of the late Donato and Giovanna (Cetrone) Leone. Mr. Leone was a licensed professional industrial engineer for Raytheon Corporation for over 25 years, retiring in 1978. Prior to his employment at Raytheon he worked as a watch maker for American Standard – Bulova Watch Company for five years. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary, Raytheon Quarter Century Club and the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers. He was a former member of St. Jude’s Church. He and his family summered at Brant Rock in Marshfield for many years. His wife, Babette M. (Flueckiger) Leone died in 1999. He is survived by his children, Gerard Leone and his wife, Suzanne, of Hanover and Margaret A. Confrey and her husband, James of Marlborough; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jay Leone and his brothers, Rocco and Daniel Leone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the service Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
