Jeanette M. Vroman, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville. Jeanette was born on January 15, 1938 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Burger) Raymond. She was united in marriage with William W. Vroman on June 29, 1956 in Vassar. William's ministry led the couple to move around the state until 1970 when they returned to Mayville. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2004. Jeanette was a 1956 graduate of Mayville High School and a 1979 graduate of the Midwestern Academy of Natural Healing Arts. For many years she practiced as a Nutritional Consultant and Iridologist, operating Quality Health Products. Jeanette loved people and enjoyed her family, reading, and writing. Surviving Jeanette are three sons, Ray (Joyce) Vroman of Mayville, Rex (Christina) Vroman of Kingston, and David (DeeGee) Vroman of Mayville; five grandchildren, Rachel (CJ) Maurer of Cedar Springs, Nicole Vroman of Kingston, Katrina (Ryan) Gallagher of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Sarah Vroman of Kingston, Delanie Riegler of Mayville; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ruth Gallagher and a great-grandson soon to be born; her siblings, William (Judy) Raymond of Mayville and Treesa (William) Colosky of Vassar; a sister-in-law, Patricia Raymond of Mayville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary, and a brother, Edward Raymond. The funeral service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dale Parsons and Rev. Peter Damaska officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Visitation will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Vroman family discretionary fund, c/o Ray Vroman, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
