My Loving Aunt Leona . . .
You have. and always will be my everything! You were my loving Aunt, my surrogate Mother, my friend and confidante, my historian, my crusader who loved sharing stories of my father Angelo - also never forgotten. You are all the best memories of my life, from Christmas to Easter, Sunday dinners and every day in between. Along with my parents, you are who I would most want to reflect in life. You will remain in my heart, your words still in my mind, and I will miss spending time with you. You are forever young and I have so many memories I can hold on to. I can only hope to be half of the woman you are. You touched the lives of everyone you met . . . especially mine!

I first met Leona at Baptist Manor, we where neighbors at opposite ends of the third floor. The first time I came home I saw something round on the floor in front of her apartment. I couldn't make out what it was. Then, I saw it stand and stretch. To my surprise, it was a beautiful cat slowly amballing back into the apartment. I told Leona that I saw her cat keeping watch over us and she laughed.
I got to know Leona and her daughter, sarah, as well as our hall guard. And when the time came for her to move to Baptist Homes, I had the pleasure to serve her coffee and cookies every Monday. We always had fun talking, and she always ask how my cats were doing.
My heart and prayers go out to Leona's family, she was a beautiful lady and I'm blessed to know her.
Leona, I will miss you more than I can say.
I'm sorry I couldn't come, but I didn't know where the services were until it was too late to call Access.

Sarah and Mary Theresa,
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I meet her when I would go and visit Patti at Baptist Homes. Leona always had a smile on her face and was very nice to me. We would talk while she had lunch and then she was off to bingo.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Leona and my Mother were roommates at Baptiist Home in Mt Lebanon . They were the best of friends and loved each other dearly. Our families became one and Leona was with me in the early morning hours when my Mother passed. There was no finer, loving, precious woman than Leona. Her family loved her dearly as she them. I feel beyond blessed that in the final years of my Mother's we had Leona.
