So sorry for your loss. I received your letter today. Such a shock. Gary was my health insurance agent for over 15 years. He was very kind, positive, attentive and very informed about his insurance offerings. He personally contacted me annually during open season to inquire if my insurance needs had changed and advised me about my plan options for the next year. A good man.
Sherry, may God grant you and your family peace and comfort during this time.

I am sorry we just heard today and can't get there Sunday. To my buddy I will just say, thanks for the memories. Hawaii (twice), Carribean cruises, Aruba (maybe not our best) Vancouver skiing, Alaska, Monte Carlo and Paris. Anderson Birthday Parties, Brickyard races. Kids camping in your driveway in the winter. Kids at our house getting muddy. You had a way of making everyone around you laugh or smile.

Gary and Sherry entered my life on April 1, 2019. I was blessed to be Gary's Transplant Coordinator. The first time that I was able to formally introduce myself to Gary and let him know my role, he smiled around the breathing tube in his mouth that was keeping him from speaking. From that moment forward, every time that I saw him, he smiled. Despite his struggles following his heart transplant Gary faced all that he encountered with courage, positivity, graciousness, and strength. His amazing wife stood by his side always, and soon I realized that they would not only bring each other strength, but strengthen those caring for him as well. It is not every day that a nurse encounters an experience with a patient and family that will stay in their heart and mind forever, but Gary, Sherry and their family gave that amazing gift to many involved in Gary's care. May your family find peace in the memories of such a strong and wonderful life.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Gary during his stays at St. Vincent. Gary was a wonderful man and patient. His wife Sherry is amazing, I feel like they were my second family so this loss is incredibly difficult for me, but I know this is not good bye but simply until we meet again. My heart goes out to Gary's family although I have not met many of you, I can only imagine what you are going through, I am sending you all prayers and love during this time.
