Arnold Maenpaa Obituary
MAENPAA, ARNOLD JOHN (May 15, 1946 - June 21, 2013) With great sadness Arnold's family announces his passing at the McCausland Hospital, with his loving wife and family by his side, on their 38th Wedding Anniversary. Arnold grew up in a large family in Nolalu, then in 1976 moved with his wife Brenda to Terrace Bay where he resided until his passing. During this time he was employed by Kimberly Clark Woodlands, eventually becoming a truck owner/operator with his brother, Gerald. Arnold was a family man who enjoyed fishing and camping, playing the accordion, visits to the casino, and family gatherings with his much-loved grandchildren. Arnold is survived by his wife Brenda; sons Les (Tina), Larry, Kelly, Kevin (Aleysha); grandchildren Andrea, Donovan, Adam, Jerryd, Matias, Maxine, Kelsey, Monica and Aliera; siblings Linda Vizina (Murv), Marlene Dunbar, Debbie DeWolfe (Cliff), Gerald (Pat), Rick (Linnea), Lorne, Barbara Hay, Shirley (Bobby). Also left to mourn are his in-laws George Kraft (Bonnie), Ida Pytyck. Kathy Kraft, Vilho Laitinen, Jim Hamlin, and numerous other relatives. Predeceased by his parents Ilmi and Tauno, parents-in-law Helen and Art Kraft; siblings Allan, Albert, Ronnie, Lorraine Laitinen and Margaret Hamlin; in-laws Kenny Galloway, Doug Dunbar, Rudy Kraft and niece Carrie Galloway. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2013 at the Terrace Bay Community Church at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Thunder Bay Tamarack House would be greatly appreciated."
