I was sorry to hear of Chris's passing. This is a name from my past that brings back memories of a nice guy. The last memory I have of Chris is a proud young man with huge hair standing proudly before a log home crafted lovingly with his own hands. I am sad to have missed a huge part of what must have been a full life. Always remember the good times.

Janice,Hazen,Tara,Nick,Ava: my sincere condolences not just now, but over the last year and a half since Chris's diagnosis. You were all there for him until he was taken unexpectedly from his home to Prince George. His last words the night before were, "thanks for being a good friend to Janice "; he had a lot of support in the Cordova Bay community. Tara and Nick were 3 and 5, Hazen 17 when Chris came into their lives, in 1995 and a long-term relationship was established. Janice and Chris' young daughter Ava (13), I am sure feels abandoned and hurt and will need much loving support. My heart goes out to all of you, stay together, stay strong. Sincerely, Pearl Newfeld

My condolences to Chris's family and friends who will miss him. It's very sad for those he leaves behind. I came to know Chris and his family (Janice and Ava) in Victoria and we spent many good times together. Chris could BBQ the best steaks and make the best coffee's. He worked hard and gave to many. Over the past 13 years, Chris worked from home where he was able to be with his daughter, Ava; the joy and love of his life. Chris, may you now rest in heavenly peace. Your work on earth is done.

Sad, sad, news.

Chris was a lovely man and we're glad to have known him. He stayed with us for a while and was a guest of ours at our daughter's wedding. He also helped share a colossal bar of Toblerone!!

Our sympathies to his family.
