DONALD KERR Obituary

Donald died peacefully, at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, with his family present. Predeceased by his brother, Bill; and his wife, Audrey. He is survived by his children, Michael (Susan), Margaret, Christine (Borys); and his grandchildren, Paul and Kate. Born in Petrolia and raised in Millbrook, Donald lied about his age and enlisted in the Army early in World War II. He eventually joined the famed 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion and saw active service in Europe. After the War, Donald joined the Bata Shoe Company in sales, married, and raised his family in Toronto. He was the first President of the Canadian Shoe Manufacturers Association. He was a founding member of the North Lake Hunt Club and was "Captain of the Hunt" for decades. Donald was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. The Family would like to thank the many medical professionals on K-2 Wing for their excellent care and kindness. We also give thanks to Donald's many caregivers, including Agnes, Luz and Reina.

Wendy and I were lucky enough to have spent as much time as we did with Don, creating great memories. Whether sledding, four wheeling or fishing he was always a pleasure to be around
Thanks for the memories Don. .
