On Sunday, February 10, 2008. Loving husband of Marna (nee Cooper), devoted father of Elizabeth (Howard) and Lynn (Gilbert), adoring grandfather to Hannah, Chloe, Charlotte and John- Raymond. He will be greatly missed by his brother and best friend Edward (Sheila), sisters Jean Carter (Thomas), Evelyn McIsaac and Florence O'Brien, and his nieces and nephews. Dick was liked and respected by his former colleagues at Texaco Canada. After retirement, he and Marna enjoyed many wonderful evenings and vacations with dear friends Bette and Ken. His greatest delight was spending time in Florida and in Toronto with his grandchildren whom he dearly loved. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Stephen Johnson who took such good care of Richard. The doctors and especially the outstanding nurses at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre treated Richard and his family with dedication and kindness for which we are very grateful. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 12-1 p.m., with a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2008.
