ROSEMARY SLYNE (nee Parker) 85, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 10, 2018. Daughter of the late Harold and Adelaide Parker. Beloved wife of the late W. Patrick Slyne. Dear mother of Kate (Bill), Maureen, Bill (Sophie), and Paddy. Grandmother to Brendan (Valerie), Addie, Emma, and Leo, and great-grandmother to Ella and Cayden. A University of Toronto graduate, Rosemary spent many years as a pioneering Special Education teacher with the Toronto District School Board. She earned the respect of colleagues, students, and parents as she unlocked the unique learning styles of hundreds of children. She enjoyed many wonderful years of sharing 'the cottage' in Muskoka with family and many, many friends. Along with her husband, Paddy, she enjoyed travelling to Europe and venturing out on driving trips to Florida with their grandchildren during March Break, hitting as many destinations in the US as they could fit into a week. Rosemary spent her retirement in Collingwood, Toronto, and Florida biking, golfing and screening new movies with her second husband Bob Campbell. At Rosemary's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in May when she will be interred with her cherished husband of 43 years in their 'home place' near Yonge and St. Clair. If you wish to receive information regarding the Celebration of Life, please send an email to
