Frances A. Lemon-Doyle, 95, of Topeka, passed away June 1, 2008 at a local care home. Frances was born July 29, 1912 in Carbondale, Kansas, the daughter of Herbert and Mary (Dietrich) Perry. Mrs. Doyle moved to Topeka in 1930 to attend Capital City Business College. She retired from Stauffer Communications in 1982 after 28 years in advertising. Her husband, Charles W. Lemon preceded her in death in 1963. She later married Kimber K. Doyle in 1968; he passed away April 20, 1993. She was a member of Echo Chapter, American Business Womens Association and charter member of Kansas Sunflower Chapter, ABWA. Frances was preceded in death by her two husbands, six siblings, and one great granddaughter. Survivors include four sons, Charles H. Lemon and his wife Mary of Duluth, Minnesota, Lawrence Lemon and his wife Pat of Topeka, Bob Lemon of Lawrence, and Tom Lemon of Topeka; she leaves behind 23 grandchildren , 75 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 -8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heart of America Hospice and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home.

Frances was a very warm and wonderful person, and I have some delightful memories of her. I met Frances through ABWA as I was also a charter member of Kansas Sunflower Chapter.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Frances was among the special people in my early days at the TCJ. She was always friendly and professional. She has many who will pass on her ways. Many blessings to those who remain.
