As a CMA and Vice President of Bangalore Chapter of IMA i am terribly shocked to learn the passing away of a tall figure in Ethics. I regularly read his write up in our Strategic Finance Magazine on Ethics.
I pray God to lessen the burden in this time of grief to his beloved wife and other family members.
You have left a great legacy for all of us to follow.
Rest in Peace

Marie,

I am in Honduras and just learned of Curt's passing. I enjoyed our ethics debates and he taught the Committee on Ethics a great deal over the years. Kathy and I enjoyed sitting with Curt and you at IMA events. Our thoughts and prayers are with Curt, you and your family. He is truly an amazing man that I was blessed to know.

Curt was a member of Financial Executives International (FEI) for 54 years and was active in the Chicago Chapter. Even though he had been retired for years, he still attended our educational sessions and our dinner meetings (most recently in September). Curt always wanted the group to be the best it could be. We will miss him. Our condolences to Marie and his family.

Marie, I am very saddened to hear today of Curt's passing. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know Curt through our volunteer work on the IMA Committee on Ethics. He has been an inspiration to many in accounting and finance during his many years as our IMA Committee Chair Emeritus. His great knowledge of all elements of ethics will live on in his many articles and books as we practice as finance and accounting professionals. Curt was a professor of accounting when I attended DePaul University in the 70's. Subsequently, he never forgot my name through the years of our mutual interest and involvement in Internal Audit and the IIA Chicago Chapter. He was always busy working on a book, article or research project that help support and promote the Internal Audit profession. He was a great teacher who was dedicated to his profession who shared his knowledge with all. He will be missed. Rick Kokoszka

Curt was such a pillar of faith and an inspiration for my music ministry. I remember sitting next to him having a great conversation when visiting a choir rehearsal at BUMC before I officially started working there in 2003. I'm so blessed to have had his support and enthusiasm for music and the pipe organ during my time there.
