Toni Morgan Obituary

Toni Lee Morgan passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, after a long struggle with cancer in Belen, N.M. Her husband, Brad, of 47 years was at her side. Toni was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on Oct. 11, 1948, to Fred and Stella Banks. Toni is survived by her two sons and daughter, Darin Morgan and partner, Jonathan Fishleder of San Francisco, Calif., Phillip Morgan and girlfriend, Amanda Cagle of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dione Stuart and husband, Will; her grandsons, Hayden and Liam of Los Lunas, N.M.; her brother, Fred Banks of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and sister, Mary Jo Pippin of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as 13 nieces and nephews. Toni married the love of her life on June 3, 1967, in a double ceremony with her sister Mary Jo. She worked in the travel industry for many years, first with Wien Airlines travel center, Lifeco travel and finally retiring as a manager from American Express travel. Growing tiresome of retirement, Toni opened a drive-thru coffee shop with her daughter, Dione, and operated it for almost five years. After 57 years of living in Alaska, Toni and Brad headed to the southwest, where they bought and remodeled an old adobe home in Belen, N.M. Toni played softball and tennis in her younger years. She loved gardening, flipping houses, working in the yard and being a grandmother to her grandsons.

I worked with Toni for several year in the travel industry, she would light up the room with her smile and laughter. God bless her family during these tough times, remember the great moments that you shared together. She was the best boss I have had and learned alot from this wonderful person, you will be missed by many.

Every time spent with Toni, whether at work or after she moved on, was full of fun and smiles. She really did love her family and friends. And I guess we all loved her back.

Toni's laughter, adventurous spirit and friendship is the greatest gift she ever shared with me. My world is emptier without her. Our love & prayers are with Brad & the family
