Dear Sarah, Ebba and the whole Allen Family,
I'm saddened to hear of Daddy Bob's passing. What a wonderful man and kind spirit. I have fond memories of visiting the Allen home in Dunwoody during college days. Bob helped me to get my first job as a computer programmer. He was always positive and a joy to be around. I always smile when I think of Daddy Bob. May God keep you in this time of mourning and may you find comfort knowing that he touched so many people with his kindness.

Bob hired me at Dames & Moore also. With his permanent sunny attitude and a sense of humor that permeated his very being, it was really a pleasure to have known and worked with him. I am blessed for the opportunity to know him.

...a fine gentleman and a smiling, friendly neighbor. I always enjoyed encountering Bob working in his yard as I walked my dogs to and fro on Sunnybrook. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Evelyn, and all of the Allen family.

A loss for all who knew him. Bob joined Dames & Moore Consulting Engineers shortly after I did (1968-1969), where we mutually enjoyed long careers. Always cheerful, he would brighten each morning that I saw him. An outstanding gentleman in all respects.

I first had the good fortune to meet Bob in 1977 when he hired me to work for him as an engineer at Dames & Moore in Atlanta. Throughout the years he was a great mentor to me and his very positive and memorable influence on my life will always be cherished. I will always remember his laughter, his ever present wit and humor, and the insights and perspectives that he was able to give me in so many areas. It was indeed a privilege to have the opportunity to have him as a mentor, colleague, and above all a very good friend for over 40 years. He will be dearly missed, but I have the gift of my memories of him that will live on forever.
