Dear Mark, I am thinking of you today. Almost seven years have gone by since you left earth to go to a higher plane.
Our friendship was a connected and noble one that is unforgettable.
This is a Buddhist teaching you once wrote to me:
O Nobel ones:
Remember the pure, open sky
of your own true nature,
return to it, trust it, it is home!

My dear friend Mark.... So many times I hear a classical choral piece and think of you. The times we spent singing with the Greater Miami Civic Chorale where our friendship blossomed. I still miss you but I know you are singing.... forever sharpening your baritone skills. Until we meet again sweet friend!

We met Mark in Prague in the summer of 2010. We took a long walk with him and his daughters, Isabella and Victoria, through Letna Park. We met him again, a couple of weeks later, right before our return to Chile. We never coincided again, when he visited Chile towards the end of 2013 we were in the U.S. Only two encounters but memorable and meaningful.
Rest in peace dear Mark,

Mark was a very considerate, thoughtful and warm person. Although we never met in person I feel he is a true friend. He fought a courageous battle while maintaining a wonderful disposition. Mark will truly to be missed. To his friends and family, my sincerest condolences on his passing. I cannot imagine what a void his passing has left in your hearts. I hope that knowing he is in Heaven, passing on his warmth, compassion and caring will help others there.

I am still shocked at the news of your death dear friend. Can't stop crying and am finding it difficult writing this message! What can I say? You are one of the most amazing and caring human beings I have ever, or probably will ever, know. I will forever treasure the day we met in rehearsal with the Greater Miami Civic Chorale! You shared your soul with me throughout the years and taught me to always treasure the small yet beautiful things life has to offer. In the midst of adversity and pain, you were always positive and strong.... I count it a blessing from Heaven to have known you and to have the priviledge and honor of enjoying your friendship and love. How I will miss you Mark!! Enjoy eternity... Save me a spot there!
My love and prayers to Leslie, the girls and to all your family. I pray for strength and comfort from God for all of them during this time.

Mark, your battle was inspiring to everyone who knew you. In the face of adversity, you remained selfless, caring about others more than yourself. Your optimism, love, strength, and courage will never be forgotten. You've had a profound impact on so many people. We will miss you greatly.

Dear Mark, It's hard to believe that you left so young. I will always remember you on the playgroup with Pixel, and your adventurous side. I was sure that you were going to get better. I was sure that people like you find an answer to any problem, and it was just a matter of time before you did. Rude awakening.

What very sad news. Mark was a brilliant shining star, handsome, engaging, creative and so very clever. I am terribly sorry for your loss. In high school and later in Boulder Colorado, I would look forward to Marks contagious smile, fun sweet nature and be inspired by his intellect. He was an exceptional, lovely guy.
Rest in peace Mark.
