NICHOLAS A. SERIO

1924 - 2016

SERIO, Nicholas A. Of Watertown, died peacefully in his sleep at his home, on September 8. He was 91 years old. Born in Medford on November 18, 1924 he was a longtime resident of Watertown after growing up in Boston's North End. He was a proud World War II US Army veteran, a retired Watertown policeman, and a travel agent who adored spending time traveling with his wife and family. He was the beloved husband of more than 69 years of Ilia (Fabrizi) Serio; kind and devoted father of Wilna Serio of Watertown, Linda Serio of Wakefield and Stephen Serio and his wife Amanda of Milton; brother of Eva Masiello of Stoughton, Anita Masiello of Stoughton, Rosemary Messina of Medford, the late Ciriaco "Jerry" Serio and the late Rita Teta; loving grandfather of Frank McManus, Jack, Rocco and Enzo Serio. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His family has requested that his service and burial remain private, but they welcome family and friends to join them in celebrating his life at The Talk Restaurant, 116 Main Street, Watertown, Monday, September 12th between the hours of 4-7pm.
