Gregory Aslanes Obituary
81 of Jackson Twp. passed away on May 8, 2016. Gregory was born in Canton, Ohio on July 8, 1934 to the late Stavros and Andronikki Aslanes. He served in the US Army and retired from Republic Steel/LTV Steel in 1998 after 47 years of service. He was a generous and kind man, who loved food, being around his grandchildren and the Mountaineer Casino. He loved the City of Canton and was an avid fan of the Canton McKinley Bulldogs. Gregory loved the Bulldogs so much, they came in second only to his family and was very proud of his Greek Heritage.
He has joined his loving wife Janet in Heaven; preceded also by his brother Jimmy and sister Rosemarie. He is survived by his children Steve Aslanes, Tina Galligher and Penny (Bob) Anderson; grandchildren Greg, Jessica, Lindsey, Stewart and Chad; six great-grandchildren; best friends Robert Parks and Glenn Parks and his dog Chrissy.
Per his families request there will be no calling hours and a private burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. The family invites you to visit www.reedfuneralhome.com to read the obituary, sign the online guestbook and share fond memories.

So sorry to hear this!! Greg was a wonderful neighbor who would always wave to us each morning and sometimes two or three times a day!! He always had the biggest smile!! Even though he is not here,he will never be forgotten.

Sorry to see Greg this way but we grow up togetherm he lived about a halfa block up the street and I lived at 615 Ross and we went to Belden and McKinley for 12 years. Played at his house,
