I did not know Nick personally, though we had chatted about baking on occasion. The product was fantastic and kept me coming back for years. I can still remember one time I arrived after the store had closed. The bakery was still open and he came out and gave my wife 2 loaves so we could enjoy our supper.
I offer my deepest condolences to the family and my prayers are with all of you.

Familia D'Amato,
I will always remember the bread, the pizza bread and the cookies that I always bring as a gift to my host on special occasions - - - but, most of all, I will remember Nick's smile as he came out to the shop from the bakery.
I will miss Nick and will remember him, and the family, in my prayers. God bless.

To the D'Amato Family:
I am sorry to hear of the passing of Nicola. As a longtime customer of the bakery, Nicola's innovations and creativity of traditional Italian breads made the great product that we all enjoy today. He will be missed.
Sincerely:
