Oh my lord. I Googled Garth's name today (10/24/2012)and saw the obituary notice. I can't believe that Garth has passed. I met Garth in the first grade in 1964 in Hopkins, Minnesota. We became instant friends and he lived just down the street from our family. My sister Cindy was best friends with Garth's sister Gretchen. When The Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan show, we both became instant Beatle fans. Garth would come over to my house and we would pretend that we were The Beatles. I had their latest 45's and I would play drums and he would play a tennis racket as a guitar with sofa cushions stacked against the wall as our amplifiers. Our family moved away from Hopkins to Illinois in the summer of 1967. Then to Boise, Idaho in 1968. We kept in touch through letters and I saw him in the summer of 1969 when we went back to Minnesota for vacation. Then he wrote me a letter saying that his family had to move and he write me when they got to their new house. That was the last I ever heard from him. I had no way of tracking him down. I always wondered through the years how he was, what his life was like through junior high and high school and college and beyond.

I'm very sad to hear that he is gone and never had the chance to reconnect. If anyone from the Glader family could please contact me so I could learn about Garth's life, it would mean the world to me.
