Staci Luellen Obituary

Staci Luellen Staci S. Luellen, 53 of Topeka passed away, March 31, 2018 and joined her Heavenly Father and earthly father.

Staci was born August 5, 1964 in Topeka the daughter Larry and Darlene (Zook) Luellen. She graduated from Topeka West High School. She was employed by Stormont-Vail for 23 years.

Having been born with spina bifida she was involved with the Capper Foundation and was NE Kansas March of Dimes poster child. Staci was a member of the Northern Hills Baptist Church and was an avid KU Basketball fan.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

She is survived by her mother; a sister, Debbi (Jim) Williams; a brother, Gregg (Gretchen) Luellen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff and friends at Manor Care.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Topeka Bible Church, 1101 SW Mulvane. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave.

Memorial contributions may be made to FUSE Foundation, 2517 Bell Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801 to support young adults with muscular dystrophy.

To the Luellen family....I am so sorry to hear of Stacie passing....I have been thinking about her for the last couple of yrs because I didn't know where she was staying...we used to take each other out on our birthdays but lost track of her....we used to go to the mall and she would do everything in her power to embarrass me...we had a lot of good times...she will always be in me heart...love you Staci

We're so sorry regarding the passing of Staci. As you recall Staci was born 3 or 4 days after our wedding so we were always able to keep track of her birthday. She had a outgoing personality and often reminded us of her Dad. We'll miss that special greeting no matter how bad she felt. Our sympathies go to the entire Luellen family.

Oh, Darlene. We are so sorry Staci is no longer with us but know that she brought a lot of love and joy to a lot of people.
My mother absolutely adored her. I remember clearly when she was born and you brought her home to your house just off 6th Street in Topeka. Love to you and Gregg and Deb and other family.

I worked with Staci at SV- we both worked 3-11 and always would eat our dinner together in the operators room! She had a great voice for that job! Her laugh was contagious- she was a genuine person and always happy. Even though she was in a wheelchair I never considered her handicapped. I will always consider her a great friend and she will be so missed!
