To the family of Homer Socolofsky, we send our condolences. I admired Dr. Socolofsky's work on Kansas, especially on its geography add history. He offered his interest in and knowledge of Kansas for my work on Great Plains literature. He was someone I was always glad to see at church or Historical Society gatherings on our visits to Manhattan. We will miss his quiet greeting.
