Ryan Henry Crane

AGE: 37 • Stamford, CT

Ryan Henry Crane passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at his home in Stamford, CT. He was 37.

Ryan grew up in Long Valley, NJ and graduated from The Delbarton School in Morristown in 1995, earning recognition as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, 1995, New Jersey Defensive Player of the Year in Lacrosse as well as being named to the All-American Lacrosse Team.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1999, after which he spent the next 14 years at J.P. Morgan in New York. He was an Executive Director in the Global Equities Group. Ryan was a loving, compassionate man who wished well for everyone he met. He was known as the "Gentle Giant" by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Lauren (nee Pizzotti), and son Harry; parents Mary Jo and Lex of Long Valley, NJ; brother Lex of Denver, CO; sister Allison and brother-in-law John Archard of Arvada, CO; parents-in-law Steve and Carol Pizzotti of Reading, MA, brothers- and sisters-in-law David and Heather Pizzotti of Upper Arlington, OH, Stephen and Kristin Pizzotti and Chris and Felicia Pizzotti of Reading, MA, along with five nephews, three nieces and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 9th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 10th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Riverside, CT. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11th at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Delbarton School (www.delbarton.org/donate), in memory of Ryan Crane. To leave an online condolence please visit www.leopgallaghergreenwich.com

Although he had reached heights I didn't imagine were possible, that charming, impish smile was exactly the same.
