I was so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I worked with him at Stone & Webster and he was always a pleasure to be around. I also know that Pete and your entire family have always been so supportive for my nephew Bill and niece Jessie through the years and I appreciate that more than you'll ever know. I am so sorry for your loss.

Betty and Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I spent time working with him in the past and associated with him now at Areva, he was always a gentlemen. Pete worked with my father while at Stone and Webster and always asked me how he was doing. I enjoyed my time speaking with you and Pete at the Holiday party this year. Pete and your family are in our prayers.

I am one of those mentioned in Pete’s obituary among “countless friends who considered him family”. As a theatre baby in my twenties in the 1970’s I spent many hours in the Chomentowski home chatting away, making costumes, laughing with the kids. I remember Pete in the kitchen cooking up dinners while Betty and I wrestled with some major theatrical crisis or another. Pete was the best of hosts - his swimming pool was open to us and the theatre gang spent many happy hours in it. Through the years – and especially after I moved to Ireland – our get-togethers always included time to sit down with Pete and catch up on the news about Peter, Elaine and Matthew. He was the proudest of fathers, a devoted husband and so very much in love with his family. For me, in Cinderella many years ago he was the biggest stepsister you ever saw and the padding added to his big frame made the kids in our audience split their sides with laughter from the moment he stepped on stage. Pete and Betty were (and remain) family to me – and I revelled in the chaos of kids and pets back in the old days. I know that Pete loved that in the 70s, the family dog saw me that way too - as the prospective mate he always wanted and oh, how we used to laugh about that. Pete, friend, brother and my dear friend Betty’s love, go in peace and remain always in my heart.

Betty and Family,
I worked for Pete, and then worked with him at Hanford. He talked about you and it was obvious how deeply he loved all of you. My thoughts will be with your family during this difficult time. I know that Pete will be missed by many people as he was a great person.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I worked with Pete at Stone and Webster and fondly remember our great games of hearts at lunch and working with him on the infamous NineMile project.
