Madeline Wargo Obituary

WARGO Madeline Molly˜ (Izzo) Wargo, age 88, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Elmer Wargo, entered eternal life Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility. Mrs. Wargo was born November 2, 1918 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Spisto) Izzo, and had been a lifetime area resident. She was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after 35 years of service. She was a Eucharistic Minister for Saint Mark‚s Church, Stratford, as well a member of the Ladies Guild and the Church Council. She was a member of the Sikorsky Aircraft Quarter Century Club and the Sikorsky Retires. She was also a Columettes FFIDI. Survivors include four nieces and nephews, Joanna Bond of White Plains, Md., Gerald Shearer of Shelton, Patricia Pavia of Shelton and Nancy Rampino of Bridgeport; grandnieces and grandnephews, Diane Trapasso, Patricia Anderson, James Bond, Raymond Bond, Joseph Briganti and David Briganti; and several great-great-grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Izzo and a sister, Florence Sicsico. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 10 a.m. by meeting DIRECTLY in Saint Mark‚s Roman Catholic Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will be follow in Saint John‚s Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements were handled by the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford. Donations in memory of Mrs. Wargo may be made to the Saint Mark Church Building Fund, 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford, CT. 06614.
