Bud and I met in the 2nd Grade at Forest Oak Elementary School. I think we were attracted to each other by our mutual love of sports. Our personalities were dead opposites. He was gregarious, outgoing, the life of the party, I was pretty much none of those things. He took a liking to me and he could always make me laugh. We played sports together from elementary school all the way through Dickinson High. We were team mates and fierce competitors with each other. I usually got the better of him when we were young and he liked that. After Dickinson, we went separate ways but stayed in loose touch over the years. I always knew where he was and he me. We reconnected over the past 5 years and probably spoke on the phone at least twice a week. Although his health declined over the past couple of years, he never lost his sense of humor and loved hearing my recollections of our childhood growing up in Meadowood, and attending Forest Oak, Skyline, and Dickinson. I am missing our conversations already!!RIP my friend.

Budrow! Took me under his wing as a team mate, bought me McDonalds when I was broke, had his Dad draft me for I.D Griffith Babe Ruth team. Fond memories as he kept Russo on his toes. He loved hitting the gas in his hot rod and throwing you back in the seat! Have not seen him in years, nothing but great memories. Miss you Brother! RIP Zeb

To the Family of Elwood "Buddy" Zebley, I am terribly sorry for the passing of Buddy. Buddy and I were teammates at Towson University in 1979 and then reconnected during Spring Training of 1980 in Plant City, Fla. as roommates for a couple of weeks until camp broke. Buddy had a Major League smile and Major League swag. I will always remember Buddy for his true and genuine personality. RIP Buddy, RIP Big Man and hopefully we'll see you in the next room at the next Spring Training session.

Buddy will always be part of the happy memories of my youth. When I think of Buddy, I think of his laugh. And boy did he laughhe laughed at everything! And the stories, OH MY! Buddy definitely marched to the beat of his own drum. My children never met him, but they definitely knew who Buddy was and heard many of the stories over and over! Amy, Lauren and Ethan, my condolences and hoping you find comfort in the happy memories with your brother/dad.

I played with and against Buddy. I'll always remember him as a great competitor, teammate and friend. He was a nice guy who always had his teammates backs. We recently had a reunion (Towson U) and everyone was asking about Buddy and we re-lived great memories of his baseball greatness. Buddy and Mark Edwards lead TU to it's 1st NCAA Tournament.
I am very sad for your family and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless you Buddy

When we first moved to DE, Buddy lived at the corner of my street in Meadowood. Thinking of his family and friends at this difficult time. He and I were classmates starting at Forest Oak Elementary through JDHS.
