Bernard Yablin Obituary
Brighton: Passed away on January 17, 2016, at the age of 87. Predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Tessie (Cohen) Yablin; and sister, Shirley Dubnoff. Survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Price-Yablin; daughters, Vanessa (Peter) Ochs, Rachelle (Larry Federman) Yablin, Adrian Yablin (M. Britton Sparks) and Dorian Yablin; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; stepson, Erik Fries; nephew, Ira (Estelle) Dubnoff; & niece, Barbara (Jaynet) Dubnoff-Bayanker.
The family would like to thank all the staff at The Jewish Home of Rochester for their 16 years of dedicated quality care.
Funeral Services will be held on THURSDAY at 11 AM at Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Avenue). Internment, Britton Road Cemetery. The family will sit Shiva on Thursday from 3:00 - 5:30 PM at The Jewish Home of Rochester. Donations may be made to any charity that would benefit children in Bernard's memory. Dr. Yablin was mine and my brothers pediatrician throughout our childhood, living back in Fairport. We were both born with health issues, mine kidney disease and a-fib and my brothers grand mal seizures and severe allergies. We are now in our 40's and still think of Dr. Yablin often recalling how many times he was really there for us, even for off duty emergency hospital visits. He was truly an amazing and kind doctor, clearly, someone you'd never forget. I'm very sorry to his family for your loss.

Dr. Yablin was my doctor and then my mentor and then my colleague. His career inspired mine and I became a pediatrician like him. I will always remember him every day in my office, because I weigh babies on the scale he gave me. It went from his office to mine when I opened my practice 25 years ago. And guess what, he weighed me on that same scale in his office 25 years before that! How about that for a continuum of Dr. Yablin's legacy! May his soul find peace.

we remember you dear kind man ,dedicated Physician and devoted to your patients and their worried parents! Thank you for helping us in those years when we were raising our girls.They are now married in their forties and we have grandsons.. Rest now dear man from your labor of love.

I had worked part time and perdiem at the Jewish Home for almost ten years, after being offered early retirement from Kodak. During this time I got to know Dr. Yablin very well and we had many good conversations, particularly when I was part of the Security Team on evening shift and when things quieted down always enjoyed his company.
Dr. Yablin also had a good sense of humor, and when I would stop back to see him as often as I could, we related many interesting stories.
We also had a common bond, as I have known Joanne for many years and have always valued both of their friendship.

Doctor yabiln was my doctor since 1963 our family was with him when he was making house calls! My prayersvare with the family ...we used to go to his house on park ave the good ol days rip Dr Yabiln

Great Doctor I missed him the day he retired. He saved my Daughter twice I can't thank him enough. She remembers him for the lung test to repeat the word NINETY NINE. The children Angels now have their own Dr.Angel to watch over them. Rest my friend.

Dear sweet gentle Dr. Yablin, I'm sorry for your families loss but you are at peace now. You were the most wonderful and caring Dr. You were mine and my children's pediatrician. You literally saved my son's life at 10 days old and now he is father of 2 boys and very healthy. My daughter always hated needles and you were the only one she would let give her a shot. I will miss your smiling face in the crowd at the Jewish Home on New Years Eve when we (Traveling Cabaret) perform for them. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in their time of need.

Dr. Yablin was my pediatrician for many years and I loved going to him as a child. He was the best shot giver ever! I was very saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was truly a wonderful man!

RIP Dr. Yablin. He literally saved my life when I was less than 2 years old. I am now a 35 year old wife and mother of 4 myself. I have very fond memories of this wonderful doctor. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Mrs Yablin and Family. ,
You don't know me but I wanted to give you my sincere condolences. I live out of town or would otherwise attend Dr. Yablins Funeral. My Mom and Dad were both residents of the Jewish Home . Millie and Leon Rosen. Dr. Yablin befriend them both and helped the acclimate to the home. He was he first person my Dad and I met the first day we checked in . He counseled both me and my father on life at he Jewish Home. I tried to visit with him every time I visited my parents. I liked him very much and know he was a great man who lived with a great deal of dignity in a very difficult situation. May his memory be for a blessing.

I am so saddened to hear about Dr. Yablin's passing. He was an outstanding pediatrician for my two children. Dr. Yablin saved my two-month-old son's life, 24 years ago. For that, I am eternally grateful.
