Thomas Hendel Obituary



Thomas Steven Hendel "Tommy", 21, of Coventry, passed away tragically from injuries sustained in an automobile accident of Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born March 1, 1993 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Richard A. and Karen M. (Brandenstein) Hendel. Besides his parents he is survived by his grandmother, Marie Brandenstein, his 20 siblings; Richard and (Denise) Kristine and (Neil), Deborah and (Vinny), Janice and (Kari), Daniel and (Dana), John, Kate, Amy and (Alex), Matthew and (Monica), Laurie and (James), Joseph, Steven, Brian, Michael, Melissa, Craig, Megan, Nicholas,Mathew, and Courtney. As well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Tommy was a special guy who was always laughing and smiling, with a smile that could light up any room. He loved skate boarding and music and he was amazing with his younger siblings, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was easy to get along with and a friend to all. Tommy will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for calling hours at St. Mary's Church, 1600 Main Street, Coventry, CT from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm on Thursday, September 25, 2014 with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Mary's Church at 11am (Meet at church).
