John and I shared many wonderful years at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Together we started the college careers of many students. We enjoyed years of listening to Books-on-Tape. We laughed together, shared a few pints together, and worked hard together to share God's kingdom on earth.
Well done, John! Godspeed.

Growing up on Slater Road living right across the street from St. Jerome church, and serving as a alter boy for many years I knew Fr. Shea real well, he was my idol, i was devastated when he left the Priest hood but it was a blessing for the Rashaw family. Our lives crossed many times latter in life played golf with him few times at Stanley Golf course, he was a gentle kind man, May he rest in peace.

I was an altar boy when Fr. Shea was a priest at St Jerome's. He was very down to earth and well liked by all. He will indeed be missed. RIP Fr. Shea

Knew your loved one as "Father Shea" growing up in New Britain and attending St. Jerome. He was in charge of CYO and did many wonderful things with us like taking a mystery trip to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy to visit. He also spurred me to run for the Archdiocesan Youth Organization as vice president. Wonderful man who left just before I was married and I was heartsick that he wasn't the one who performed our ceremony. However, he had found the love of Mrs. Rashaw and we were happy for them both. Did not know she passed but happy that he found another wonderful person to share his life with. Great man and he will be missed by many! RIP and condolences to all of his family.
